I was thinking if you're going to be buying a 24" LCD and really dish the bucks out then I'd figure you want to make sure this thing was calibrated great.

Well I ran across the Spyder2express:

http://www.colorvision.com/profis/profis_view.jsp?id=581

Would this be a great tool for doing such a thing, is there really a need for this and if so and this is not the tool to use, then who makes the best for monitor calibration.

Found some info here:

Hmm didn't like what I read there:

The Spyder2 exhibits two quirks. First, it is slow. You can make a sandwich and read most of a daily paper in the time it takes to measure a monitor.

Looks like the ColorEyes Display, to be a better application.

THANKS

P.S. Gaming performance is what I have in mind for such a tool.

This is a RECORD, in almost 3 years on the forum this is the FIRST post I've made that no has answered, or I should say for at least this long without a answer.

Come on guys, someone must know something?

Don't know. Calibration is hardly discussed much. Such a tool is not going to increase gaming performance, it's going to make the colors requested closer to the colors actually displayed.
