I've run spybot 3 times in a row, and each time, it finds 70-80 spyware items on my system.
My question is, why after the 3rd itme, its still finding 80 some items?
Maybe spybot isn't what is it made to be....?

Are you deleting them? Even if it finds them you still need to tell it to delete them...
Spybot is an excellent program.

Spybot and Adware are two programs that go after different things (not in every single case, but the majority). If you're running spybot with the latest verion updates and hitting the "fix this" button after it scans, and they're persistant, I would boot into safe mode and try it there.

The only reappearing problem I know of is what I'm experiencing, but I found out it was a small bug on spybot's part that deletes 5 specific files/keys under a certain category and still comes up on the next scan. This suppose to be fixed in the next upgrade.
And if you haven't tried checking/posting on Spybot's forum...

Good luck!

i would assume this is because you have services running which monitor both the registry and certain files on your system. when spybot removes them, the services extract a fresh copy right where they just were. run hijackthis and post a log, as schadenfroh suggests.
