It's nice. I like the Sky better, and the Sky RedLine is gonna be sweet.

I think the '06 Mazdaspeed MX-5 is gonna roxor the hell outta those things though.

Don't recall any BMW's grilles bothering me...can you be more specific? "BMW" is pretty general...

BMWs have a twin kidney grill (of varying sizes) just like Pontiacs.

That particular front end looks meh to me...especially the headlights, but the grille seems fine.

Is it like not allowed to not like how a particular car looks if other people do? Aren't looks subjective on anything?

I'm a lifelong Mustang guy, and I think the latest Mustang is ugly as sin and I wouldn't want one if it was given to me...well...I'd probably keep the motor. ;) I realize that I'm in the minority in that thinking judging by how popular they are..

IMO, the Pontiacs grilles don't really look anything like the BMW ones..similar in some cases maybe..but not the same.

I second that!

Leave it to gm to make a car that has potential to look great then F it up. The Solstice would have been a looker oh about 7 years ago. Todays cars have more of a curved look with sharp geometric accect lines. The solstice has none of that. But may be if they can build up some performance credibility then it might sell.

BMW is a very conserive car in it's asthetic design, with the excetion of the bangle models. Chris Really Bangled up a great looking car.

I agree, the "bangling" as you call it, has led to the best looking bimmers yet.

Ok, but will it have a loyal following like the Jeep Wrangler or Mazda Miata has? That is what I mean by a car that sells.

A lot of car models sell well their first year but after the initial demand has been met is their going to be enough repeat demand to keep the nameplate alive? I am not sure and I doubt that the car is as technologicly advanced as the S2000 or Miata; GM has been slacking in these areas.

I still think the old Z3 looking BMW's (2000 to 2004? 3-5-7 Series) are much easier on the eyes.

*Bangle- To mess up a good desgn.

advanced as the miata.

NFS4 lets school him.

Hyrdroformed frame rails, similar to the corvette frame, but specifically designed for this car, and this car alone.

all body panels are Hyrdoformed. first time ever. (except for 2 small square panels behind the rear wheels)

Cadillac CTS rear suspension

5 spd tranny from the Colorado, with the throws shortened.

Ecotec motor (well known and respected)

NFS4 should know more, im just going off the top of my head.

The Miata has been successful because it's a simple, pure sport car at an affordable price, not a technology marvel. I wouldn't say the S2000 has been that successful in term of sales number.
