Cause Honda has better stuff to invest there time into😉 Honda wants to be in markets that target a new generation, not a market where they can become the new Buick.
 
Teana is a bad idea, unless they are replacing the Altima with it. In any case, it's bad enough that the new M45 looks like a Maxima, it looks virtually identical to the Teana, and that will hurt it.
 
Sheet metal too thin on today vehicle to block bad guy. Titanium hull is 1000x better but expensive! Steel = too heavy for need strength too. May as well stick to bicycle now.
 
Unfortunately they won't be able to touch the Avalon. Part of owning a toyota product is the quality of the build. Nissan does'nt get close.

The new avalon is almost a lexus without the badge.
