theres a reason they are number 123 in sales.
American fanboys?

Check out worldwide sales 😉

The F-150 is the best selling vehicle IN THE WORLD

I believe that's because of the number sold in america. Not often you see some Afgani militia going round in an F-150, stopping every 15 miles for fuel.

The bed looks a bit small.

Crew cab....look at the Ford Crew cabs. Tiny ass things. I never fully understood the purpose of going out, buying a truck, and getting a fraction of the bed that it should have. 😕

At least some manfs. have the decency to offer a "long bed" option on CC's...which really is nothing more than a standard bed. But at least it's bigger than what the base quad cab comes with.

It's a test mule. Most likely that isn't the bed the truck will come with or there will be other options as far as bed length is concerned.

lol @ japanese pickups 😛
Um.... widely considered the best on the planet.

by who? rabid ATOT import fanbois? The compact trucks are certainly nice, and have been for years, but I haven't seen hard evidence yet for the bigger ones.

Toyota pickups are seriously solid and actually good at going off-road, check out what all the forces that shoot the crap out of our coalition forces use. Anyone who wants a vehicle that'll last an ungodly length of time, is comparitively fuel efficient and has supreme offroading skills will pick up a jap truck.

What do you suggest as an alternative?

While I totally agree with you on toyota's quality, I believe the Ford sells more F150 than Toyota sells their pickups.

Top Gear has already proven your word btw.🙂
