I wonder if the *mega cab* (If it comes to pass) would sport "limousine" style seating in the back??(IOW, 2 rows facing eachother)

OK, well I guess that's "old-school" limousine for those of us who remember when "stretch" was the only kind of limo available for rent.......;)

My only concern is for the automakers. Will people penny up for a 5.4L V8 on a 7,000lb truck that gets 9mpg when gas is $3.50/gal?????????????????????????????????????

Um.... widely considered the best on the planet.

by who? rabid ATOT import fanbois? The compact trucks are certainly nice, and have been for years, but I haven't seen hard evidence yet for the bigger ones.

Toyota pickups are seriously solid and actually good at going off-road, check out what all the forces that shoot the crap out of our coalition forces use. Anyone who wants a vehicle that'll last an ungodly length of time, is comparitively fuel efficient and has supreme offroading skills will pick up a jap truck.

What do you suggest as an alternative?

They need to make it bigger w/larger engine to shut the weenies up who say Japan can't make a real fullsize truck...

It would be nice to see some hybrid technology in a truck like this to improve gas mileage though.
