Yes, i do delete them at the end of the scan. first time i ran it, had 17ish of'em. now i end upgetting 1 or 2 of'em. i swear it seems they are getting reinstalled after i delete'em. not sure what programs or "entries" they where, i'll check next time. should i quarantine them instead?

Some cookies with spyware reconfigure themselves when you surf. Only way around is to delete your cookies from your folder.

I use SpywareBlaster from here ,it blocks most spyware and is free, makes a nice backup to Spybot and Ad-Aware.

Install it get the updates and make sure you select" protect against all selected items"(make sure they are all ticked).

Also if you get this
Do you get an error that "MSCOMCTL.OCX" cannot be found?
If so, use the following installer to copy the file to your system:
MSCOMCTL Installer

Link to MSCOMCTL installer. .

yep, opened up IE today and nother popup, ran ad-aware and its a tracking cookie. stored in documents and settings\cookies. FYI, i'm getting from CNN.com. i have it set as my homepage. how can i prevent the cookie? i have my cookie setting to allow first partys, no third party cookies.

i'll look into the spybot s&d, but i'd rather not have anything running in the background.

Another fan of SpyBot here too. 🙂 The "immunize" feature is a great way to prevent stuff from re-infecting your browser, especially all those goofy and annoying HotBars and SearchBars and crap. :disgust:
