I really dont think you're going to be able to get a retention plan after only having the service for 1 month. The best they will be able to offer you is one of their new plans from their website with an extension on your contract for 1 year from the date you call. Retention plans are for people who are no longer under contract. This is Sprint's way of getting you to sign back up for a 1 year contract, and maybe partially a way of saying "thank-you" for being a customer of theirs for 1 year. For all intents and purposes you're free to try to get one of these retention plans, but personally I think its sortof rude to try to get in on one of these plans after being a customer for only a month. When this post was originally made some months ago, I was a customer for only 10 months or so, and I opted not to call and get some of the better plans people were getting (I believe they were something like 650 anytime, 2000 n/w @ 8pm for $35 + 1st free incoming minute) because my contract was not up yet and I thought it wouldn't be polite to call up and ask for a retention plan when my contract wasn't even up yet. Thats just my 2 cents, but it doesnt cost you or hurt you any to try to call up!
