Here's the deal:

Existing SprintPCS customers can switch their home long-distance to the Sprint "7 Cents Anytime" plan, can get $50.00 in "savings checks" (which you can use to pay your local phone bill, Sprint phone bill, SprintPCS phone bill, or use in any Sprint Store).

Sprint also waives the $5.95 monthly fee with the "7 Cents Anytime" plan, as long as you are a customer of both Sprint and SprintPCS.

Sounded like a cool deal to me, so I signed up!

NOTE: The website says "Expires 6/30/01", but when I called today, they were happy to give me the deal!! When I checked the website today, the link was replaced with a different deal. I printed a copy of the promotion in case anyone wants me to e-mail it to them. I was thinking that if anyone else is interested, maybe Sprint will extend the same deal if you simply ask! :)

isnt IDT better 5cents anytime.

Considering you would have to talk for 41 2/3 hours before realizing any savings with this IDT company (after sprints $50 back), id say sprint is a better deal unless you talk long distance a lot.

i did this promo. you get 5 $10 sprint coupons to use for billing. not one $50 check. just to let you know. international monthly fees are not waived only state-to-state calling fees.

I did this awhile back. It is great because you do not get charged anything, not a dime. Even my local phone co. charged me $1.13 just to have the use of their long distance service even though I never made a phone call. Now I have LD service (just in case) with absoultly no charges. Jump on it.

dang. i signed up for this last year when they didnt offer the $50. Oh well, time to hunt down one of those "switch to AT&T and get $50 back" checks, then switch right back to sprint...
