Sprint - Where are my texts? (Palm Pre)

I went from a Blackberry 8830 to a Palm Pre on Christmas Eve. I really do love this phone but there is one huge (to me) issue that I just can't get around... I am constantly missing texts. It could be a coincidence that the problem started with the new phone but I doubt it. Have any of you guys run into this problem before? Granted I probably still receive 90% of my texts but at least with the Blackberry I would receive the other 10% late. With the Pre I am not receiving them at all.

I've still got time to take back the phone but before dealing with Sprint CS I thought I would ask here.
 
do you have another phone you can test it out with? what does the "delivery report" on the sending phone say?
 
I'll ask the person from this morning to check her delivery report. She forwarded the messages to me a little later so that could potentially block our chance to verify though.
 
ok so the texts I'm missing are all from verizon. The phone just shows a green arrow if a message is successfully sent but does not show if it is actually received.
 
im on vzw and my bff was on sprint, and regularly she would not get my texts for hours. if i sent pics it was always an hour or so before she would get them. now shes on vzw as well and there is no issue so far.
 
I've never had any problems on my Pre. I regularly text with a few people, one has Verizon, one has Page Plus (Verizon MVNO), another has AT&T. We all get each other's texts right away as far as I know.

But it doesn't really sound like something's wrong with your phone, more a network problem somewhere in the tubes.
 
texts work fine on my pre. i had a problem in which i deleted a person from my messaging app, and everytime i would get a new text from them, their name would never appear in the messaging app.. typing out their name would show their name and their texts though. the recent software upgrade fixed this issue.

i've gotten texts late from at&t people, but have never missed a text.
