I follow him on Twitter and FB. It is indeed scary. Not just what he says, but what his zealots say in the comments. It's quite disgusting, and shocking how ignorant these people are and how they refuse to respond to any facts presented to them.
Post fact era indeed. This is why I think he has a real chance in 2020; Even if the country is worse off as a whole because of him, his supports her follow him right off a cliff.

Conservatives have believed in insincerity for so long that they can't detect it when it comes wrapped in something they care about. Trump does it all the time, floating out rafts of bullshit & cannily evaluating the reaction of the crowd. When he finds something that wows 'em he plays on it & they believe him because they want to. He can contradict himself in the same sentence & they'll believe the part they like.

He has no trouble finding people who'll back up whatever he says, too- Conway, Pierson & Pence being the pint of the spear. None of them believe in anything other than playing the chumps.

WTF should we expect form people who can't see through Jerry Falwell Jr?

Seems to me they know exactly that "those areas" refer to. Or that "both sides equal bad" or "never trump" doesn't actually mean they shouldn't vote for him. Or that the wall is a euphemism for keeping minorities in their place. Or draining the swamp just means filling it with their own. Or exactly what welfare queens and state rights refer to. Or that nothing bad actually happens to them for stabbing jesus in the back.

Seems to me everyone else are the suckers to believe the notion of naive god-fearing conservatives.

Yep, either the repub supporters are the dumbest voters on earth and only the dems can see it or the repubs are so far ahead of the game that the dems have no clue what's going on.

I think the results illustrate which one it is.

So Trump is claiming credit for low paying jobs just like Obama because, numbers.

Funny how all of you are so busy pointing fingers at one another not realizing that the game corporate America is playing, outsourcing jobs until they they drive down wages here and Americans are desperate to take what they can get, then they or the politicians are heroes because you have jobs again, low paying jobs, or part time no benefits jobs, and they act like they are doing Americans a favor.

Sprint announced today - shortly after a Donald Trump name-drop - that it was planning to "bring back" 5000 jobs to the United States. Trump claimed the deal was brokered in part by Sprint's owner, Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son.

Predictably, the new jobs seem likely to be centered around sales and customer service positions if Sprint's press release is any indicator. This means the vast majority of these new positions will be poorly paying and first in line for any future belt-tightening if things go south at America's #4 carrier. Of course, there could be positive ramifications for Sprint subscribers in the form of improved customer support and reduced wait times in stores.

The already somewhat bittersweet news is further tempered by the fact that Sprint actually cut 2500 of these same jobs earlier in the year - all in the US. This would mean the net number of jobs being created is far less than 5000, and if you go back a little further yet in recent Sprint history, they had cut another 1700 jobs in 2014. In short, Sprint has already done its fair share in the other direction here, and adding 5,000 employees to fill low-quality, low-paying positions that were previously on the chopping block doesn't make them look especially competent.

Do you realize GOP did not want Trump? Republican voters put him in despite that.

I'm still can't understand why facts don't matter to his voters so that make me not having a clue either.

If anyone thinks because Trump was elected that means Republicans are political geniuses let talk 4 years from now.

I'm sure you realize that a trump victory is only a tiny part of the Republicans overall victories in the past fifteen years right? They control most state and local governments, they control all three branches of government as well. Do you think this was just dumb luck on their part or do you think Republicans just have a really good message? The Republicans are playing chess while dems are still trying to figure out what board pieces to use.

Sorry but the majority of the voters within the respective states felt Trump was the lesser of two evil and why he won the Electorial College tally and will becone President in 3 weeks.

You mean enough voters in a handful of battleground states decided that Trump was the lesser of two evils. But you genuinely can't say that most voters thought Trump was "less bad" -- Clinton had about 2.9 million more votes overall. No, the popular vote doesn't decide things in the US, but don't act as if if Trump has a broad consensus... he absolutely doesn't.

I don't think he has a broad concensus but due to the fact he won the majority of states you can't bet your sweet ass he will move forward thinking/acting as such.

Yes, he's clearly acting like he has a mandate after loosing the popular vote by almost 3M and securing a "landslide" (46th out of 58 elections) EC margin.

Expect an all out assault from the Repubs on the govt of the people.
