This isn't really anything new. This goes back to the Softbank investment in moving into the US.
An announcement they did in October.
Trump met with them in November and he took credit for it then too.

There was a lengthy thread here about it. This has nothing to do with Trump -- they were doing it whether it was Trump, Clinton or George Washington in office.

I can't wait until the honeymoon phase is over. I think by the Summer or by next year we will start seeing the real Donald Trump.

I follow him on Twitter and FB. It is indeed scary. Not just what he says, but what his zealots say in the comments. It's quite disgusting, and shocking how ignorant these people are and how they refuse to respond to any facts presented to them.

They were going to bring those here anyways, but gave credit to Trump to suck up, and of course he took it.
But much more importantly, they are sucking up to Trump in order to win antitrust approval to Sprint buying T-mobile, which is going to eliminate many thousands of redundant jobs and hose consumers by reducing competition.

Well, I have to admit, it really is saddening to see what these people say in response to his postings. Interestingly enough, most responses on Twitter are very anti-Trump and shoot him down. On FB, the responses are just disgusting and ignorant. I've tried a few times to point out facts and figures, but to absolutely no avail. The Trump supporters in P&N have nothing on the ones following him on FB.

I like to troll Trump's FB page from time to time. Facts do not work with these people. I wouldn't even waste my breath. And my emotional heath.

The parody accounts are much better, and you tend to get the truth of things.

Well, to be fair, one thing I last over the last 2 months was not to believe in polls :)
Regardless, yes, these people still post about this in their comments and all the other debunked things about Hillary and Obama. They just REFUSE to listen to reason/facts

Please. the outcome of the election was within the margin of error of most polls. None of them could account for Comey's last minute torpedo, either.

The breadth & depth of delusion on the right is more than I'd imagined. It goes back for decades, layers upon layers. It's insidious, too. I can tell that when seemingly rational people look at the astounding & obvious array of Trolls, Bigots & Charlatans lined up behind Donald & proudly announce "I'm with them!"

Justifying it leads inevitably to "they're just as bad!" used to look away & avoid introspection.

Far more jobs will be whacked once the T-Mobile sprint merger is a done deal. These moves are designed to build up some favors from the incoming administration to pave the way.

Yep, as is usual, working people will be the ones paying through the nose for jobs that won't be there.

The real Trump was always there, but I think it's rising to the surface now that his election win is safe.

"Yeah, those things I repeatedly promised during the election? Those were just lies to get you to vote for me. And were you critical of me or my policies during the campaign? Because I will do everything to silence you short of an assassination."

The base knew it was lies. Sort of like they know "state rights" is really about segregation. You can tell because they don't actually care about the actual wall anymore, it's what Trump would call a euphemism for keeping lower class minorities in their place.

Pretty soon he'll start taking credit for the weather (the good weather, of course... bad weather will be Obama/Hillary's fault).

I was joking about the polls. See the ":)"?

I figured. That one, even jokingly, kinda sets me off for some reason.

What I can't fathom is how conservatives & others fail to detect the utter insincerity of the Repub leadership. When they hear what they want to hear they're instantaneously hooked in a deeply emotional way. When Donald says "I could shoot somebody" he knew exactly what he was talking about. They'll forgive him anything, at least for awhile

Hard to imagine someone might be disingenuous on what they care about. Like those christian conservatives who loved jesus enough to #nevertrump.

Conservatives have believed in insincerity for so long that they can't detect it when it comes wrapped in something they care about. Trump does it all the time, floating out rafts of bullshit & cannily evaluating the reaction of the crowd. When he finds something that wows 'em he plays on it & they believe him because they want to. He can contradict himself in the same sentence & they'll believe the part they like.

He has no trouble finding people who'll back up whatever he says, too- Conway, Pierson & Pence being the pint of the spear. None of them believe in anything other than playing the chumps.

WTF should we expect form people who can't see through Jerry Falwell Jr?
