when i signed up for the $30 sero plan today, the lady told me i need no deposit up front and i have an unlimited spending limit.

after reading up on what that means, it appears that i dont have to pay my bill until the final month, in TWO YEARS. so in two years i can just send sprint one fat $800 check and they apparently will be fine with that because my account has no spending limit!

is this right? it doesnt seem so.

wow, it's like sprint's own centurion card.

(seriously though, i've never heard of that, even throughout all of those SERO discussions across the intars.

I suspect that what they mean by unlimited spending limit is that you can have a very high bill one month and they wont care (if you used a feature that wasn't free with sero and built up a lot of charges) I doubt that it means that you don't have to pay your bill monthly.

When an new bill hits your account and your current bill is past due then you phone service gets shut off till you pay the past due amount. Spending limit is if you want to talk for 1 million hours in a month - they won't stop you. You cannot just pay your bill at the end of 2 years.

I got into an argument with a rep when I tried to do this and that's how they clarified.

I had Sprint for years, haven't had them for 3 years now, but unless they changed the spending limit means nothing except you can charge that much in a month. If my bill was literately one day late my phone would get cut off, Sprint is ran by gangsters. Verizon I pay much more a month but I can go 2 1/2 months without paying a bill. I think Sprint jumps on you 1 second after 1 month, or maybe that was just my luck with them :)

well its not always easy to pay your bills on time, and phone service can be a matter of life and death (911 isnt always the number you need in an emergency) so i can see why that would be a problem if your bill is only a couple days late. hopefully though i can afford $36 or so dollars a month. well, i know i can;)
