I noticed some of the Sprint PCS phones have Personal Information Manager's or Personal Organizer's.

For Example the Sanyo SCP-4700, Samsung SPH-N240, and the Sanyo SCP-5150.

Is anyone familiar with these phones? How advanced is the organizer?

I am not looking for anything like a PDA, just something to type in important dates, like birthdays, or test days. Would any of these phones do the trick?

Thanks
Eddie

Yeah they'll give you reminders and stuff.. they work alright for to-do lists or alarms or appointments.. but if you want any amount of efficiency you'd be better off with a PDA.
There's a Treo out for sprint now, and a PocketPC is coming soon as well.

From what I hear that Treo is the hot ticket. The PPC2002 device looks pretty impressive as well, though nobody has one yet.

I would personally wait for the Kyocera 7135 due out November 1st. Phone, 16MB PDA, MP3 Player, Movie Player and expandable SD Slot for 512MB memory. Plus a grip of other features!

I have a Samsung SCH-A460, and it has a calender/datebook organizer. If all you are looking for is something to keep dates in, any of those phones will do the trick. It also has a To Do list and a Countdown function. I love my PDA though, and I think once you start looking into it, you might see that you need the functions more than you think.
