Sprint getting iphone5

If the iphone 5 gets a 4" screen, I think it will be a serious problem for android. I love my evo but a big screen iphone would be tempting.

Good news for sprint. They have been struggling ever since the iPhone / android explosion of phones.

Hopefully this will help them become a bigger player in the mobile TelCo game.

Sprint 3G is fine by me. YMMV.

Could it be that some people end up roaming on Verizon's network, which automatically downgrades you to 2G? When I looked at switching to Sprint, I noticed that their network is not expansive at all, and in fact seems to just follow major roads/highways. If you're away from those areas, you may end up roaming. I don't know how well this is indicated on phones though as I don't own a Sprint phone nor have I ever. I know a guy at work with a Samsung Galaxy S from Sprint and he says that he ends up roaming on Verizon quite a bit with it.

yeah seriously... goodbye unlimited data... I've been WAITING to get rid of my EVO 4G... After using Android for a year, I seriously can say i do not like it one bit. I came from a Palm Pre, which I loved, from a HTC Touch Diamond, from a Palm 800W (wasn't bad at all) and finally, a Palm 700p (palmOS) 700p, 800W felt like work phones.

The Touch Diamond was just a mistake in generally... Palm Pre (though hardware wasn't great) was my favorite phone. I felt the MOST productive on that platform more than any other! Then it accidentally got hit by ocean water, and died on me..

Enter the EVO. My first taste of Android makes me wanna stay away from Android. It just feels like it's all over the place, with no style... or plagued with indecision. I was somewhat excited over android, but it just feels like a mess. So my next phone was going to be a WP7 (loved it when i tried it out) or an iPhone, or another dying WebOS (I only need a few things to get by...)

Now I think I've my heart set on the new iPhone... Apple fanboyism, here i come!

Goodbye unlimited data. 🙁

Awesome... as long as I can grandfather in my current plan. Been waiting to get rid of my EVO and this will be a perfect transition.

I just started looking for an escape plan from AT&T. Was looking at T-Mobile and their upcoming line of phones. But if the iP5 is coming out the same time as the T-Mobile Herc, I'll be getting myself a new iPhone and saving about $70/month in the process. :awe:
