Sprint fires 1000+ customers

Problem is if you call once and get transferred 5 times then the system will show you made 6 calls. So it is not 50 calls but maybe 10 or even less.

I had to call verizon twice a month for 8 months straight... they kept fugging up my bill...

That is not surprising at all. I would rather go without phone and internet service for the rest of my life than get those services from Verizon.

I'd guess its more of the deal seekers who call 40 - 50 times csr shopping trying to fomd someone who will stack a 5% discount on top of a $5 dollar discount on top of their emplyoyee referral offer on top of a loyalty discount over and over again that they are not eligible for.

That was my first thought too.. We have a guy here at work who does that. He spends hours a day emailing, calling, visiting places he has done business to complain. He only does it to get free shit, 99% of the time he has to make up a reason.

He will call the phone numbers on food products and tell them he found various crap in the box to get new ones. Kellogg actually sent him a whole case of frosted flakes because he said he found an eggshell or some such thing in there.

Sad thing is, the guy is single and makes I'm guessing around 75k per year. He certainly doesn't need the money, its more like a hobby to him

I have tried them all. The best one for me has been Cingular thus far, but I know they aren't perfect either. A friend of mine worked for them and she told me a little over two years ago that they have the most towers up for coverage in the US than any other provider which was my reason for the switch. I was with T-Mobile at the time. I don't know if those numbers have changed since then though.

Does Sprint have to pay the customer an Early Termination Fee? 😛

Good for Sprint. I ditched their service a year ago, switching to Verizon... but I defend their right to drop customers they no longer want to have to deal with.

These customers are likely just a bunch of scam artists who are calling and making up crap 50 times per month to try to get service or cash for free. I don't care how bad a company is, there is no logical reason to call them 50+ times per month.

Yes, 25, 50 times a month is overkill, but I'm not very surprised that Sprint would have those types of users. My sister is a Sprint user and they have given her the wrong plan, left out services on her plan, added services to her plan without notice, etc. In the end, they are always good at fixing it. Unless she keeps an eye on her bill/plan, she might end up having to call customer support more often.

Easy way to get out of a contract 😉

1. sign contract with sprint
2. get discount on expensive phone.
3. call and complain about service.
4. sprint fires you.
5. PROFIT!
