How in the hell can they afford this or are plans really that far out of whack?

If nothing else I'm going to stop by Sprint to see what they can do for my 8 phone, 30GB Family Share Plan on AT&T and give AT&T a call to see if they can sweeten my plan to keep me.

I've got no phones on contract so that helps.

What is Sprint Launching?

Effective 12/05/2014, available for limited time only, Sprint is introducing the Cut Your Bill in Half Event for Verizon and AT&T customers who are interested in switching to Sprint.

How it works:

Beginning Friday, Dec. 5, Verizon and AT&T customers switching to Sprint need to follow these simple steps to take advantage of this limited-time offer:

Visit sprint.com/halfprice to upload a copy of your current bill.

Bring a copy of your latest bill and all of the phones on your Verizon or AT&T account to turn in to your Sprint store.

A Sprint representative will select the service plan that most closely matches the data allowance in your current monthly rate plan.

Get your new phone with one of our leasing options, Sprint Easy PaySM installment billing, or pay full retail price for the device and we will waive your activation fee at $36/line.

Customers also may take advantage of the Cut Your Bill in Half Event via Sprint.com. For more information visit www.sprint.com/halfprice.

Their network sucks and T-mobile is eating their lunch.

To me they could be a fourth the price and it is still a bad deal. I would much rather have a prepaid on the ATT network.

You have to turn in your current the phone and you don't get any credit for it. So then you have to do the easy pay or whatever sprint calls it. For your eight line that's going to be about $160 a month on top of whatever the plan comes out to.

My work issued me an iPhone 5S on Sprint's network (the only carrier that works in my employer's building is Sprint). It's terrible, so much so that it makes the phone experience terrible as well. My employer is literally paying me to use Sprint and I can't do it, had to get a phone with T-Mobile. I could not fathom actually paying money to be on Sprint.

I didn't see anything in their terms and conditions about employee discounted plans being disqualified. Wonder if I should see if my AT&T employee 50% discounted plan can be reduced even further, even if their network is meh :sneaky:

Ha, Ha, Ha.... I would never go back. Sprint is horrible. Welcome to the slowest 4G in the nation!

Cutting my Verizon bill in half doesn't make up for not being able to actually use the phone anywhere.

Sprints network is terrible pretty much anywhere you go. Their 3G speeds might as well be 0. Absolutely unusable. And their 4G fairs only slightly better. I was getting better speeds on a BAD day on ATT MNVO 3G than a good day on Sprint LTE.

Wait, you have to pay full MSRP for your new phones? No new 2-year activation pricing? Guess I'm not that familiar with Sprint Easy PaySM installment billing.

When my friends on Sprint brag about having unlimited data my response is always

"Now if only you could use it"

I do not even see Sprint's stores any more outside malls where they have booths next to other carriers. Not exactly confidence-boosting.

I paid my early contract termination with Sprint after them giving me hundreds of dollars in credits in hopes to keep me on with them. I just could not handle the horrible internet speeds anymore. T-Mobile is miles ahead of them and Verizon is the cream of the crop once they start balancing their load again.

When my friends on Sprint brag about having unlimited data my response is always

"Now if only you could use it"

People tell me that too and I tell them that I have unlimited with T-Mobile and I can use it :)

Sprint sucks pretty bad. I'm happy with the service for what I'm paying($0 from work), but I would never go with them if I were paying for the service.

I'll echo what so many others have already said... I honestly don't know what it would take for me to go back to Sprint.

I thought maybe now that it's been a couple of years, Sprint might not be so bad any more. But I tried it, and it's still completely awful in my area.

I just did a SpeedTest with my Galaxy S4 on Sprint, and my Nexus 6 on T-Mobile, each from outside my local Jamba Juice (Orange Dream Machine FTW!!!)

Let's see if you can guess which is which. ;)

NOTE: Both of these results are repeatable, connected server is insignificant.

Sprint needs to remind you that they're different (cough worse) than the other LTE networks/icon
