Recently(last hour), I decided to tinker with the sprinkler system at my house. I got it to work, for the most part(i.e. the problem), after rotating the little things on top of the electric motors so there would be water flowin' instead of water not a flowin'. Anyway, I twist all eight to the "on" position and 7 out of 8 work. I already know where all the water comes out and all that, great. The problem is the 5th out of 8 does not actually work. I turned it to the "on" position but it doesn't actually do anything when I turn on the system for #5. I know where the water is supposed to come out, but it doesn't.

I decided to twist the little circle in the middle(inside of a big circle that you rotate to turn it on) with the letters "bleed." So, whenever I bleed it... Sprinklers work... I'm a moron so I have no clue what bleeding really is. I assume it means to relieve pressure/pump out fluid, but I am a moron so I could be wrong. Anyway... Solutions? Is the little motor inside just not working even though I hear it "working" like every other one? (It sounds no different...)

"Bleed" means to remove air from the system so that the water can build pressure. Otherwise the air in the system compresses under the pressure, giving less actual water pressure.
