I fully support draft dodging as I think the draft is patently unconstitutional. However, for Trump to dodge the draft and then state, "I always wanted to get the Purple Heart", is beyond my tolerance for bullshit.
People who voted for Trump were able to justify that obviously insane vote on the basis of the rationalization first of all, that the good is what they believe it to be and would be lost if that belief were to fail them, and secondly that Biden would have been far far worse. In order to awaken to the realization of just how mistaken they were, that what they did was in fact to enable evil would bring us the feeling they are sinful and you know the fate of sinful people, right. That's right eternal damnation in hell. It's not what you would call a pleasant thought, but have mercy on them for it's their fate. We create what we fear.
There are millions of people in need of the reinforcement of this sort of rationalization, unaware it's the path to hell.
