Little ah heck much have just left the water because his wings weren't fully developed. I'm happy it's spring and all but they're out early. Out for blood. Weird because nightime temps have been in the high 40s. Maybe a good frost will kill them all.

*calls public sanitation because douchebag neighbor didn't cover his above ground pool over winter and left it 1/2 drained*

If I get malaria or west nile I'm suing him!

You will be seeing the swarm here soon. But if he's got that much open water I would have a neighborly talk with him or offer to help.

The little bastards are prolific. He may be able to treat the entire pool and kill them all now before they emerge.

do you have a pool or other standing water near you ? if you can use those larvae donut traps, they work wonders

Mosquitoes cock-block me on my nature walks with lady friends down in the woods. Little assholes.
The mosquitoes which bite you are female though.

What kind of -block do you call that? 😛

I have a nice stream in the back yard which has some movement, a good sized creek that feeds a bigger river. About 15 feet wide by 2 feet deep, 30 feet wide 5 feet deep on heavy rains.

I'm thinking about introducing my own predators but fish and wildlife would be unhappy with me to say the least. 😉

I have a bear trap inside my house that works great. The bear population inside my house is currently 0.
