Fucking people have to bitch about everything...at our local mall it's now Spring Bunny and Spring Spheres so no one gets offended.

Personally I want the Bacon Bunny to come:

Getting offended because your religion is not automatically preferred, are we?

I'm curious, are you religious? Because you don't strike me as someone who is particularly religious and why someone who isn't religious would give a fuck about this is beyond me.

Thanks for being online all day and night and never missing any topic posted on AT...you should have a custom title.

Unfortunately I was reporting this based on seeing it today in my local mall.

I still like the Bacon Bunny better which did not get posted in the prior threads.

Get your drink on man, it's fucking friday!

Lolwut? Go back to dreaming about being a real biker or race car driver please.

I don't have to be religious to have a problem with changing an icon over stupidity.

Since its conception as a holy celebration in the second century, Easter has had its non-religious side. In fact, Easter was originally a pagan festival.

The ancient Saxons celebrated the return of spring with an uproarious festival commemorating their goddess of offspring and of springtime, Eastre. When the second-century Christian missionaries encountered the tribes of the north with their pagan celebrations, they attempted to convert them to Christianity. They did so, however, in a clandestine manner.

You wouldn't happen to have pictures of a sign calling them "spring spheres," would you? Because in those other threads, half the posters swore the girl made the story up.

No actual pics anymore on the article, but this was reported earlier this past week here:
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/easter-bunny-events-renamed-spring-to-avoid-offending-1420013.html

One of the local malls is keeping things traditional and there was a bit of a minor protest.

The article is pulled some of the comments were:

I am getting an EASTER BUNNY Suit with a hitler stash!

JEW-EATING BUNNY?

Nah, but I will boil jews with the eggs!

there was a lot worse...the local paper doesn't open comments up for any crime a minority is mentioned anymore.

it was pretty bad. Hate doesn't solve hate. The problem is our retiree population has nothing better to do than interfere.
