What are your plans? Where are you going? What are you doing?

I'm booked for 5 days in early March. Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort! They have bikini contests, wet tshirt contests, tons of tiki bars and such! It's going to be pretty sweet!

Good stuff. Have fun, man.

I'll probably play the GC Zelda: Ocarina of Time as my spring break is on the 3rd week of February. :)

n/m actually clicked it...Panama City is fun, went there Freshman year..followed by Cancun, Florida Keys, and finally Negril, Jamaica (best of the bunch IMO).

Depending on when you go, its much colder there than other Spring Break spots. One place I wanted to check out during spring break but never had the chance (I finished in 4 years :| ) was Las Vegas. Heard it rocks during Spring Break.

crap i'm getting old, my last Spring Break was in 1994 at the Days inn in Panama City Beach:Q

Heh it was not as popular back then as it is now, now you see Club LaVela on MTV every year...

But my favorite bar was right next to the Days inn..Harpoon Harry's, where i had my first legal drink in a bar on March 5, 1994 (I turned 21 on the bus ride from Penn State to Panama City Beach)

I actually made my first legal beer purchase at some gas station outside Tallahassee, as we needed a few extra cases for the last hour or so bus ride.

ahh the memories...

One of my friends that's going with me on the trip is 34... As always, I'm the youngest one in the group. We're all programmers and server admins. Imagine that picture...We're going to take a camcorder and sell videos of our trips. We'll call it "Geeks Gone Wild". :D
(but no worries, in truth, we all know how to party and we have the money to afford it) ;)

My spring break will more than likely involve a week at home. I don't know how college students can afford to go to Jamaica and all these other places. There's no way I can afford to do something like that.

They either work their asses off during the year or their parents pay for it. :)

What a waste!!

Do you realize how many episodes of Star Trek on TNN you are going to be missing during that week?

I don't see how anyone would want to go out at night anymore now that they play ST:TNG at 11pm!

No. None of us are married....yet. Though, I could have been by now(twice)...as well as my 34 year old friend. He was pretty close to being married, but his gf passed away last summer....this trip may do him some good.

We're going to be drinking mainly and enjoying the break from work. I think I'm gonna try to buy a digital camera before I go.

Only 2 of us are college students, but I work for the University... The other guy is a java programmer for a major federal govt. organization. I have always wanted to go somewhere exciting for Spring Break and I get 2 vacation days a month. I might as well use them, right?

No need to be defensive. :) I'm just explaining how some people are able to pay for it.

I say more power to you for going. I would've liked to have done the same thing during college.

I just wanted to establish that I hate those rich little bastards that don't know the value of the dollar too.
Those who could always afford good beer make me sick. I spent 3 years of my life drinking Pabst and the Beast.... That stuff will grow hair on your tongue.
