Spread spectrum on or off?

Hey Guys....sorry to be an idiot, but I never really learned what the spread spectrum option for the cpu in bios does....should I have it on or off? Thanks!

From what I know about spread spectrum it deals with EMI, and I've always disabled it.
 
Spread Spectrum varies the CPU's frequency slightly to reduce EMI. The slight fluctuations in clock speed can be enough to cause an overclocked CPU to become unstable. So when overclocking, always turn it off. If you're not overclocking, it doesn't really matter if it's on or off.
 
Well, you might not experience any emi problems with it off, but your neighbors might, and you might without realizing it.

Definitely leave it on at stock speeds. When overclocking, find the max stable speed, then try turning spread spectrum back on, back down a little if necessary. 100mhz isn't what it used to be, when we were overclocking celeron 300a's to 464...

EMI is weird stuff, best if we all do our small part to keep it down...
