I figured since cats move around everywhere in the house, spraying Febreeze on them would be a cost efficient way to make the house smell good.

Thoughts/opinions?

Ya, probably putting chemicals on an animal that spends a quarter of its life cleaning itself, might not work out too well.

Now, attaching a Swiffer to their undercarriage for half an hour, THAT might be worth investigating!

The obvious solution is to place one of those time released air fresheners in your air ducts.

Your cats move? What a novel concept. Mine are like fuzzy furniture :^D

Smelly Cat, Smelly cat what are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, smelly cat it's not your fault...
They won't take you to the vet.
You're obviously not their favorite pet.
You may not be a bed of roses,
And you're no friend to those with noses.
Smelly cat, smelly cat what are they feeding you?

I always wanted to charge a cat with static and have it run around the house collecting dust.

I say go for it. Kill two birds (or should I say cats?) with one stone. First, you will improve the smell of your abode, and secondly, you will shortly not have any nasty ole cats to deal with.

It's probably safer to dangle a fragrance stick or something onto its collar. That will also make the cat enjoy it (playing with it) as a bonus.
