I know this is not available (yet) in the US but some of us are beta testing it. It's really popular right now in Europe and I know there are plenty of members here that post from there.

What do you guys think about it? What are the ramifications for you as well as the industry? Is this the holy grail they've been looking for? For me, tihs is a game changer - I think it's what will finally get people to pay for music. They'll be happy to do it.

Here's what Lifehacker had to say about it.

If you have any questions about it, just ask. Sorry, there are no invites.

A friend pointed it out to me about when it came out, but I avoided it like hell on the basis that there is a HIGH chance this could be illegal.
I am still not sure, but it might be legal the same way listening to any song on youtube is legal.....I still avoid it though.

It's not illegal in the least. They have deals with the record labels. In fact a couple of the labels own a 20% stake in the company.

$14 a month to stream music?!? Me no think so. I will try the free version if Apple lets it come to the iPhone. As this would be a direct bitch slap to itunes, I have my doubts that it will.

Apple has already approved the app for the app store in non-U.S. markets.

Sounds awesome except for this tidbit:
You can't sync the music to your MP3 player
Now I realize I'm behind the times without a smartphone, but that's currently a deal-breaker for me. Once I have a smartphone, if there was an app that could do the same thing as the windows application...that sounds awesome. I'd probably even pay $14/mo for 320kbps. Maybe.

I've had spotify for the last couple of years, i don't pay for it (as I don't listen to music) but if ever I want to listen to a song, or hear a song someone tells me to try then i just fire it up. Any questions?
