Sports in Connecticut

Sometimes people talk about sports at work and I can't stand it as it truelly is irrelevant. It's like discussing what ninja turtle is the coolest for hours on end. Who cares? It doesn't affect your life in aany way except maybe emotionally. Anyways ....

So today someone asked me about the Red Sox. My reply. "Oh, sorry. I don't watch football"

I should have to deal with that question again.

Yah, I live in Connecticut too. I don't follow sports at all. I don't really care. The only thing I like to watch is hockey, and only if I'm there in person, but I don't even follow that. People really get into it around here, and they think you're nuts if you don't follow.

ps - Red Sox = baseball 🙂

I live in western CT (Danbury) and here it's Yankees/Giants/Jets country. Once you start approaching Hartford is about the time it switches to Sox/Pats.

Btw, I loved Conan's skit on state mottos. Connecticut was: "The state redsox have to drive through after losing to the Yankees"

connecticut doesn't care about men's sports. all they care about is women's bball. they can have it.

We'll take it, nothing like watching those wonderful young globes of pleasure bouncing up and down as the woman run from one end of the court to the other.

OH MY GOD! You are my exact sports equivilent. I generally don't watch sports. if I watch a sport it's uusualyl hockeey, but I don't follow it. I usually find out about trades when I am watching a game and think, "I thought Rob Ray plays for Buffalo?". I play roller hockey in Glastonbury.
