Sports Illustrated Curse: Real or Not?

Of course not. Nobody stays at the top forever. So there's nowhere else to go but back down once you've peaked. It's just that Sports Illustrated only puts those who are at the top on their cover.
 
I thought the cover curse was the EA Sports Madden curse? Whoever made the Madden NFL cover was cursed by injury or worst year of their career (Vick being the lastest "victim")

It's the "EA" curse because the luck of the hockey covermen has also been pretty bad lately.
