There is always a lot of sport talk in OT and H&F but we should have a seperate category for sports only. We can have sub sections for baseball, football, soccer, rugby, etc... We can also have a section for playoffs of any particular sport that is in that part of the season.

Why not? Is this forum against expansion? How about a sports category in "social"?

The only thing that a sports forum would do is separate the die hard fans from the hardcore fans. There will be much less traffic, and at that point you might as well go to a dedicated sports forum.

So what? AnandTECH has 1/3 of its forums that have nothing to do with TECH! Do we really need a love and relationships forum when 50% or more of the people on this forum have no clue of love let alone relationships? Please. A bunch of the forums here are crap and I think a sports forum is a legitamate request. Have you read half the retarded crap that is in OT? Most of it is useless shit from people who have pathetic lives and have nothing better to do than to post the latest white-trash idiot videos from Youtube. Ocassionally we get a sports related post but usually some lameass 12 year old will nef it.

I don't think you understand what I meant. There will be much less traffic in the sports forum compared to OT. The OT traffic decrease would be negligible. And if you want sports threadds post them. Or maybe the reason there aren't that many more in OT is that the people in OT really don't care that much about sports. Or at least talking about it on ATOT.

By very definition, Sports and Entertainment belong in OT. I'll be adventurous and say that a Sports forum wouldn't even have 1/10h of the traffic of L&R.

There's probably only around 20 or so active members who discuss sports in ATOT

Please no. While it may seem like a good idea, fracturing OT has killed traffic.

Please get rid of the subOT forums. Please put OT back together.

I saw at least 2 "Merry Xmas" threads today. Can we get a Merry Xmas forum?

Oh, and one for every other holiday during this time period.

See where this can go?

I've been asking for a toe nail clipping forum for years.
