sporatic loss of paging file <please help>

i have reinstalled win xp 3 times now, every time things run great for a few hours and then when a reboot is necessary i suddenly get the no paging file is set error, i have looked all over microsoft for the solution and it has nothing to do with the permissions or to do with a chipset driver.
I am sure alot of people have had this problem before so any input is greatly appreciated.:|

What you are describing crosses the boundary with a couple of problems. Please post the error message to be more specific. It could be that your drive letters are reenumerating for some reason. Set your pagefile to 'none' and you may find you OS has jumped to D:

Are you using dynamic drives, removable drives, usb drives or anything of the like?
