Spontaneous locking up on a Duron 600@X00?

I have a Duron 600. It has been unlocked, and was overclocked for quite a while to 950mhz; however, when I set the multiplier at 9.5, it only reports 900mhz. The same is true for other x.5 increments on the multiplier - when I try to run it at 850mhz, it will only run at 800mhz; when I try to run at 750mhz -- 700mhz results. This is on an Iwill KK266 with the latest BIOS. For reasons unbeknownst to me, the computer will spontaneously lock up. I'll provide system details in hope that someone can figure this out (it's not heat - CPU temp is at 35 degrees under full load). Lockups have happened both at 900mhz and 800mhz. The system is currently at 800mhz.

Running W2k. This has happened during several different applications, at different times during the time I'm using the computer.

Any ideas?

Redo your bridges. Especially if you used a pencil to connect the bridges.

My guess is the same. Redo those L1 bridges.

2nd, u said u flashed to latest bios. Is tht mean tht u have no probs prior to flashing the latest bios? Sometimes, new bios could be a probs also.
