THIS WILL RUIN THE ENDING ... IT IS AN IN DEPTH DISCUSSION OF THIS ENDING...

PLEASE DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED IT... I WOULD REALLY SUGGEST AGAINST IT AS IT HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITE ENDINGS OF ANY GAME I EVER PLAYED.

well... I finished the game today... My god did that ending make me love the game... I was so shocked the twist was beautiful ... I can not say enough about it...

When I first finished, it was more of a wtf... you are kidding me... Alvin... not Alvin... But it really fits well... the entire game you are dealing with the fact that you are compelled to be neutral and that you shouldn't have feelings and that you are mutated to be a killer...

just when you start to find love and that you may want a son and a family like Ben... that boy disappears... you are upset but you have a job to finish ... You kill the man that started it all the one that wronged you and your order... who has been harrassing your friends and loved ones... the man who's blind hatred and paranoid prophecies have nearly destroyed a world ... A man against everything you believe and you find out it was the boy you almost raised... the one you had protected off and on throughout the game...

what do you do... you move on... you get your coins and you leave ... no tie up with the relationships...

all you end with is knowing that now you secrets are out and the line between man and monster will be forever skewed.

Hell... maybe if you would have spent less time on revenge and monster hunting... would there even have been a war...

kind of a mind blower...

The game was fun... the combat was beautiful and fast paced... I like that you had to find out the best ways to kill monsters... gave a little bit of lore and rp'ing... The finishers when you stunned people were all cool looking and badass...

The running between people with time constriants was laborious and annoying... The fourth chapter seemed a little out of place and the fifth chapter seemed short and not completely finished...
The collection quest were kind of lame as well... by half way through the second chapter I realized I just need to keep everything I was looting off of monsters and soon I had quests finished as soon as I received them...
The monsters and creeps like drowners that never went away and never got any harder were just agitating... especially in the fifth chapter when 6 of them could be one shotted in group silver...
The end game was a little too easy... I was so badass by the epilogue that I finished the ice area with only one save never using it... I killed the GM and the king of hunt on my first try... I don't think I really even lost any life I had so many potions working for me...

Overall I really liked the game... The ending of the storyline made me love it... Can't wait for new chapters/sequels...

I'd have to agree with most of the comments as well - one of the better games that I've played in a long time.

To answer Bateluer - I've played the game through once - I really don't think it would be any more enjoyable the 2nd time through unless they add more to the game - multiple endings, people who attack you if you try to take something from their house, "factions" [friendly with certain groups, hated with other groups, neutral with other groups depending upon my decisions and actions in the game].

I can't wait for the new chapter... but I could care less about the new dialogue... I thought for the most part everything seemed translated great. Everything made sense... The new gestures why conversing is also a non issue... it was noticeable that every person had the same movements when you talked.

I should mention I had the British version. The shorter loading time will be very well received...

I bought it from a British company for a pretty penny to get the uncensored version. I am just going to buy the enhanced NA edition when it lands.

British was well worth it... Full frontal with bush in game... not just the nudie cards.
