I can just imagine him doing poorly at work and his parents calling up his boss to berate him for picking on their son like I'm sure they did to his school teachers.

so you're his friend because...

it somehow doesn't bother me all that much

although it's starting to

give it time and you will hate him with the fury of a thousand suns

i suggest being blunt with him, if he whines again tell him to shut up and stop bitching like a sissy

if he mentions again "im buying a house and you no idea what its like"

snap back with "well neither do you" and proceed to explain how his parents buy him everything

if his only friend starts to drift away he might realize what is going on and try to change his ways

I've tried. Trust me, I've tried.

well im talking about NOT candy coating a DAMN thing, have no regard for his feelings when telling him things straight up... (your ultimate goal should be tears)

but if you have infact tried that i would just sit back and wait for the hilarity thats comes about when he falls flat on his face and has no idea how to cope with the real world

that's where I'm at right now.

I think most people in that kind of situation either die out or turn to shady methods. I somewhat doubt the ability to become independant so easily after being pampered for your whole life.

here's the thing... he would never admit to his parents he was doing poorly... Even though he's in reality a fscking loser, he portrays himself as being perfect... it's difficult to explain.

armatron, your friend is a dumbass. There are people like that in the world. Some day the ****** will hit the fan for him and hopefully you don't have to bail him out.

I say ignore it and let him do whatever he wants. No reason to get stressed about dumb people.

If his mother has to work because they're hurting for money, where'd they come up with $30k for the down payment? Is this one of those asian families that says they're poor when really they're frugal?

long story short it was someone else in his family who's getting old and put part of her savings towards him.

and dont get me wrong, they aren't HURTING for money... but his mother works because she has to, not because she wants to.

if my friend had control of his families money they would all be living in the street. he spends like he/his family is incredibly wealthy

That is the type of person I would seriously just punch in the face rather than listen to that crap... what a tardbart...

I know many people like that, they are called "The idiots on laguna beach".... DAMN I HATE THAT SHOW!!! MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACHE...... but hard down there.....=)

I'da beat his ass a long time ago..

I'm brutually honest when my friends do stupid sh*t. And if they're as stupid as the OP's friend, they wouldnt be my friend in the first place.

Wow, it's only gotten this far because you haven't called him on it before. The next time any sh!t like that comes up, call him on it instantly. Don't stop calling him on it. Every single time. That should have been your strategy from the beginning, but you can still start now.

QFFVCKINT!

the ONLY reason i even stop and glance at the show is because of the hot girls on it. if i ever met a group of girls like that in real life i would bring them to tears and i'd do it all with a smile on my face

i remember the last one i came across

her car didn't start so she thought she needed a new car (but obviously she shouldn't pay for it) 😕

My parents left me without pocket money for 2 days when I was small, just to teach me to source for myself. Now if his parents would just let him fend for himself, it'll make him snap out of it pretty quick.

woah, 48 whole hours? my parents never gave me sh1t, and instead taught me to earn money and value it.

Sounds like a lot of people on this forum that have the latest computer equipment. Like that one kid who's dad rent him a Ferrari for Christmas vacation and had his aunt "loan" him 20 grand I think it was.

I must be in the wrong place. I opened this thread expecting something about sausages that were past their expiration date.... 😱
