Splitting cable 8 ways. amplifier?

Emailing on behalf of a friend that wants to split a single cable signal 8 ways. Charter, his provider hans't been much help on the phone.

The cables are in place. He just needs an 8 way switch/ amplifier. Anyone BTDT recommendations of parts or suppliers?
