Does anybody know if I could put a spliter before my Cable Modem to split the signal to a TV Tuner card and my Cable modem? Was thinking this because There is one in the CompUSA BF add...

Should. My modem is off a splitter (tv and modem). Not only that but between the splitter and the modem is a really cheap 50ft coaxial cable. I seen no difference in performance with that setup than if I plug right into the existing wall outlet.
