Split Cable

Does anybody know if I could put a spliter before my Cable Modem to split the signal to a TV Tuner card and my Cable modem? Was thinking this because There is one in the CompUSA BF add...

Been there done that.

Just make sure you purchase top quality splitter.

Should. My modem is off a splitter (tv and modem). Not only that but between the splitter and the modem is a really cheap 50ft coaxial cable. I seen no difference in performance with that setup than if I plug right into the existing wall outlet.

the cable co put a splitter in mine by default - I have tv and cable but no wall jacks. just get a high quality one.
