wtf is up with games that don't have widescreen support?

i found (i think) the settings to change it in the ini file but when i play, everything is fvcked up. the menus are fine, but when i play, Sam Fisher's head is separated from his body and his body is just like 1 big shadow...

Here is what it looks like

even with 1280x1024 it looks like this. i am using the new nvidia driver, 158.19. i rea d afew other forums that this new driver fixed their problems with DA, but they didn't say what they problem was.

turn off AA.

it is off - in the game and in the nvidia control panel. as well as a few other settings.
it even does it with every off/low
 
this sucks! i needed a new game, get this and i can't play it...


anything else out there thats good? i'll probably end up seeing if i can get a refund on DA

everything seems to work ok on mine except that Sam is all fvcked up. oh, and the settings don't seem to want to save either, which may be part of the problem because Ubisoft says to turn off HDR with 8800 cards but if the settings won't save with it turned off, i'm screwed.

That really sucks. I've been able to play the whole game with HDR but no AA, everything else maxed... 🙁

then a lot of people have bad video cards

all my other games play fine

DA doesn't officially support 8800 series cards so thats most likely the problem.

ohh ic. you can keep trying other drivers from guru3d i guess? Or just wait for the patch. i hate it when i buy a game, and crap like this happens, and you spend the better part of your day trying to figure it out when you want to anxiously play the damn game. good rucks.
 
i could but i don't know if i want to put that much effort into it

i have a feeling its going to need a patch from Ubisoft though.

no, what does that do? where does it go?

and is it 2 lower case Ls?

This works, but you missed an imprtant step. The shortcut the game creates is to a launcher. you need to create a new shortcut directly to the exe file and then add the -LL line to the end of the target field.

this fixed my problem.
