I love it. No aftertaste, you can cook (bake) with it

Same here, good stuff. I have been using it for a while. Goes great on cheerios/rice krispies.

Although I hope that it doesn't end up having some kind of weird side effect like olestra or whatever that stuff was called that makes your rectum bleed or something. (How's that for a vauge discription? Google time.....)

Olestra is the one with the warning that says it could cause "loose stools".

Could someone help me tighten my stools?

No tests have been done on Splenda that I've heard about. By tests I mean on rats and stuff. On a side note I heard even moderate amounts of saccrine can cause brain tumors in mice. This was compared to a control group...but then again the information could have been mis interpreted to make a case.

I think that's Bubba's job in cell block c.

Switched from apsartame to it begining of the summer. Better tasting, better for you (at least I think), but costs more. I use 3 packets every morning in a big cup of coffee.

chance of cancer?

sucrolose is a simple isomer of sugar, the chance of it giving you cancer is probably nearly the same of sugar giving you cancer.
What is the chemical classification for "sucrolose"? Is it a polysaccaride? I'm guessing that disaccharide sucrose is in it ;-)

Is it true that Splenda does not contain calories, and isn't absorbed by your body like sucrose?

Discuss.

Splenda rules in smoothies. Sooo much better than putting a ton of sugar in there. That's about my only use for it, but I may try it in this year's Xmas cookies instead of sugar.
