That is really cool! Would love to see a documentary on the finding and subsequent removal and uncrating of these planes.

BTW-I was kind of hoping for Triumph Spitfires but this is even better. 😉

That's funny I was thinking the same thing. My dad had a Spitfire before I was born and would love to one day restore one.

@busydude - Burma has done what few countries have ever been able to do and that's convert, as you rightly claim, from a dictatorship to a democracy without resorting to violence.

I do think there will be a big payout to Burma to allow these planes to leave their soil and I think that would only be right. If these planes are pulled up in pristine condition they are almost priceless.
