Ann Coulter is the Republican answer to Al Franken, but without a sense of humor.

I wouldn't take Ann Coulter all that seriously. I don't think she believes half the filth that comes out of her mouth.

I don't know about that. I watched her on Crossfire yesterday, and I found this exchange amusing for some reason.
BEGALA: Well, let me also thank you on behalf of Senator Miller, who I've worked for off and on for a dozen years, a very close friend of mine. I think he would take issue with a lot of things that you say, Ann.

For example, you gave a famous interview to "The New York Observer" where you said, "My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is that he did not go to "The New York Times" building. You were later asked on a Web site called rightwingnews.com if you regret that.

Now everybody says stupid things, and I've thought of course you said you would regret it. You did. Here's what you said, though. "Of course I regret it. I should have added, after everyone had left the building, except the editors and reporters." Now, again, is that Ann Coulter's view of patriotism to call for mass murder?

COULTER: No, that was just a joke, Paul.
Hmmm, guess you had to be there.

And yes, she's a little nutty.

I saw that exchange on Crossfire yesterday, and the difference between Ann Coulter's humor and Al Franken's is that Coulter's humor is just not funny. She takes herself far too seriously to be funny. Joe Scarborough's humor on MSNBC is much better right wing humor.

Oh yes. This is the same woman who wrote in her column the day after 9/11:

We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war.

This Is War

She's a shock pundit, the worst of them all.

Bingo. She's just trying to make as much cash as she can and her vehement super rightist thing might be ham acting.

Al Franken once said...

"Asking if the media is conservative or liberal biased is like asking if al queada puts too much oil in their hummus."

Cool!

Just read where Ann supports McCarthyism too. What a sweetheart. If she were born in Germany, I bet she could have done a good job on justifying gas chambers.

Heard her on Hanity the other night talking about this. Apparentlt the US has released documents verifying all of his controversial accusations. They(FBI etal) had to keep the president out of the loop because he would have pardoned the commies. I have not followed up though because i have no desire to. The whole McCarthy sh!t happened way before my time and times have changed since then

But Republican character assination attacks haven't realy changed,
they are more frequent, better coordinated, and more spiteful.

It's a pity what they have learned to do politicaly, it will be the death of our nation.

i sometimes wonder if she's a nefarious liberal stretching the conservative line so far as to make a mockery of it.

but looking at the user reviews on amazon.com.. people buy it hook line and sinker anyways. its depressing.

i mean seriously, richard roeper of ebert and roeper was putting the smack down on her books horrid inaccuracies in many articles. just reading her books is disturbing. she knows how little intelligence most of her audience possesses and takes full advantage of their lack of critical thought.

franken rips her pretty well too:)

go to this thread if you want to see video of franken ripping oreily and coulter new ones:)

and yes i've read her book slander and an older ones which i forgot the name of. its what you call.. easy reading. easy on the intellect, hard on the soul.

and at anns level, its not spinning, its blatent dishonesty.

No, what the govt. released were lists of allegations. Someone went to a Party meeting a few times in 1938 etc. I am sure they did. Now that did not make them communists. It made them curious. One of the great motivators was the Depression. People were looking for alternatives, and the great majority (including those on McCarthy's lists) rejected it. Also think about the fact that this "verification" was done by individuals who deliberately decided to hide information from the President, because they considered him untrustworthy. How trustworthy are those kinds of people? Perhaps there was another list, more secret, with the Presidents name on it.

I want her, I simply must have her in the worst way.

Of course, I feel dirty when I admit this, for she is, beyond all doubt, a viciously self-promoting female gentital part that rhymes with bunt, but I want her any way.

Oooooooh, Ann!! I'll do anything for you, Ann, anything.

I'll LIE, Ann, I'll tell bald-faced lies that fly in the face of unambiguously documented proof (now available, kids, in easy to listen to MP3 form @ http://stromwatch.com/ ) and say that Strom said "people who have tragically spent too much time in our graciously appointed Southern tanning salons" and NOT n*gger, no matter how obvious it is, to anyone who scrolls down on that stromwatch site and listens to his speech, what he really said.

Ann is a liberal plant! She is just trying to make conservatives look bad by taking their arguments to illogical conclusions/extreemes. If she can make a buck in the process, so much the better.

I had been meaning to say the same thing about BigDude, but he/she has not posted in a while.
