Just read this little blurb in the news. "A memorial tree dedicated to Ferguson police shooting victim Michael Brown was cut down shortly after it was planted at a park in the St. Louis suburb, officials said".

Why is Brown a "Police shooting victim" and not an "assailant" or "perpetrator"?

Because the fact that he was shot by the police is not questioned by anyone, but whether or not he was an assailant or perpetrator has not been established by any court.

If they were to describe it in the way you want, that would in fact be spinning it.

That is strange. I don't recall any video displaying Brown as a victim. I do remember a video of him perpetrating an assault though.

Let's disregard that no evidence has been offered to support Wilson did anything inappropriate with regards to Brown.
 
Remember, those activist groups glazed right over the evidence that he had committed a crime and was assaulting a police officer at the time of his death.

To them he was killed by a white police officer for no reason besides he was black.
 
Hands Up! Don't Shoot! That was complete fud but the media went with it and so did a bunch of other fucking morons like some NFL teams....but hey, who cares. It made people feel good about themselves.

He was shot, therefore he is by definition a shooting victim. Saying Brown is a shooting victim does not mean that officer Wilson did something wrong.
 
At least we did not see "gentle giant" or "about to start college" or "shoot in the back while trying to give up" or "hands up dont' shoot" or more of the bullcraps, bs, and lies.
 
cops are NOT the judge NOT the jury and certainly NOT the executioner.

their job is to aggregate laws passed by the government not make their own.

this is NOT the wild west.

I hope that we finally, as a species, come to the enlightened idea that any memorial tree will get destroyed. Throughout history, no tree has been left undefiled.

He's a victim only in the loosest use of the word's definition. The commonly accepted understanding of the word "victim" is the implication Wilson was wrong with the actions that resulted in Brown's death. But, don't let your bias affect your judgments as much as it affects others!

The store owner was a victim. The officer was a victim of the public reaction. The other store owners of the burned down buildings were victims. The employees of all those businesses burned to the ground were victims.

And what pisses off most people is the avoidance of responsibility. Calling Brown a victim is avoiding responsibility for the damage he cause to others, and avoiding responsibility rioters caused to others. Calling Brown a victim is a way to rationalize their own destructive behaviors.

Instead of "police shooting victim" (which implies that he was wronged), it should say "idiot criminal". That doesn't fit in with the current media narrative though.....

A hot topic among CBDives is the that of responsibility, one which the damage done to the world by their brain defect is completely ignored.

It's interesting that you bring up responsibility while ignoring that wilson had any himself, as a trained cop.
