vespa: "[...] just doesn't do it for me"

It looks like something with a bunch of bolt ons. Their are simply too many gaps, not to mention how out of place the rear-exahust grills and the trifecta of exhasts look....

looks like a highly-modded {insert japanese car here}

Just doesn't look like a Lexus to me. It seems Toyota's doing the opposite of what Nissan did with the GT-R. Nissan developed the GT-R as a purebred sports car, but placed it under the "low-end" moniker (Nissan) rather than their high-end brand (Infiniti).

Traditionally Infinity and Lexus have not made sports cars (G35 does not count), I guess Toyota is trying to change that...

Nissan is sticking to the brand name, the Nissan name was home to the great sports cars 350 and predecessors, Skyline, etc. Toyota had excellent sports cars as well.

I guess this is going to be a sports car with luxury in mind so that might be the reason they are putting a Lexus badge on it.

I wonder if Honda will stick to a Acura or Honda badge on the NSX for the US... :p
