2011 is a pretty long ways off, I hope to see a whole new cast, and especially a new director. I don't think the recent movies did Spiderman any sort of justice, and Tobey Maguire, although not a bad actor, was completely wrong for the part of Peter Parker.

I really thought he was perfect for the part - he acts naturally exactly how Peter Parker acted in the comic books![]()

1 and 2 were brilliant. 3 was awful. I didn't like the way they made Peter be such a douche bag to Mary Jane -- I can't see how that romance will ever survive that.

Everything was bad with #3. They killed off Venom (unless they pull some rip in time continuom crap....he is not coming back)....They killed off Harry....They killed teh relationship with Mary Jane.....I think they should have just killed spiderman. It would have ended the same way...with no good feasible storyline for a sequal.

He was great as Peter Parker in the first 2. With that movie version of the character, I'm not sure that they could have cast anyone better. Too bad they trashed all of the remaining worthwhile storylines with part 3.
Seriously. Who's left? The fucking Vulture?
what's he gonna do? shake his cane at Spidey and scowl?

Such bad movies, ugh.
3 took Venom, one of the few awesome characters, and sucked at it. God knows what they'd do with Carnage.

It made record sales because the first two were decent. It had some ok action, and while it was clearly the worst of the bunch I still won't rate it as huge of a turd let down as Xmen 3. That one was terrible.

I don't even remember 3 too well. I just remember being pissed off at the end.
I was classic "too many enemies spoil the movie" (also known as the "Batman and Robin" law).

The problem with the naming of that law, is that it might lend to the assertion that Batman and Robin, the utter crapfest that it was, could have otherwise been saved.

You must not have seen many movies then.
It wasn't great, but damn, its not THAT bad. Go watch Bio-Dome, Freddy Got Fingered, or The Core to get some perspective.
