Spiderman 2 Question - SPOILERS

As it looks very strongly from the end there's gonna be a sequel I had a question about something that happend. When Harry finds his fathers stuff I can only assume he may use it in the next movie. What would they call him is my question? Green Goblin 2? You comic book guys educate me, difference between the Hob Goblin and the Green Gobnlin?

they will also call him Green Goblin, and the Hobgoblin if IIRC was some dude norman osbourne (harry's dad) hired to kill spiderman.
 
If I remember all of this correctly..

The Hob Goblin came first in the comic books. Hired by Norman Osborne and given technology (the glider and bombs) to do his bidding and kill spiderman. However the Hob Goblin double crossed Norman and started working for the Kingpin. Osbourne got exposed to that same gas that gave the Hob Goblin his powers, using the same technology to become the Green Goblin.

I forget what happened to Norman.. I think he was lost into another deminsion where he found a way to communicate with this son, Harry and started haunting him as the Green Goblin, getting him to use the same technology and gas to avenge his father. Then he found out that the Green Goblin WAS his father and started going crazy.

Or something close to that anyway.
 
Actually, the green goblin came first....and you forgot the part where he was killed by being impaled, only to come back 20 years later (in real life, not comic time) to reveal himself as the one behind the spider clones and thus and so forth.

Green Goblin> Hobgoblin
 
there have been like 3 green goblins and 4/5 hobgoblins throughout the existence of spiderman. harry becomes another green goblin.

also, that college professor peter likes eventually becomes the lizard.

as i was searching google the night i saw spider-man 2, i came across http://www.spideykicksbutt.com/ -- has a lot of great info if you're interested but never read the comics/watched the cartoons. also has links to other good sites to clear up other confustion.

*edit* there were 3 green goblins and 4/5 hobgoblins
 
They've actually set up three potential villains for the next movie.

1) Obviously Harry Osbourne as Green Goblin
2) The one-armed college professor to become the Lizard
3) JJ Jameson's son taking flight to outer space and discovering Venom

I just hope they don't try to cram in two villains at once into one movie. Unless it is something like Harry as the Green Goblin directing another villain or something...I dunno. Just multiple villains at once really helped kill the Batman movies.
 
I personally believe that Spiderman 3 won't be any good. What new techniques can Spiderman show us? The only thing that will carry it in the 3rd is the story, and unmasking him was what made part 2 good, IMO.

Batman 2 was pretty damn good. What killed the batman movies was bad acting and direction.

Oh yeah, seriously. How come they only showed her giving spidey some cake and that's it? Like what's the whole point of that?
