Spiders around these parts never seem to be larger than a quarter with leg span, almost always smaller.

And I prefer it that way. Fuck spiders.

Yeah it's so uncommon I can't even remember it's name. I don't think anyone has been killed by it, and AFAIK it's only in the South Island. BTW almost everyone here lives by the coast, except weird Hamilton residents.

Lol guy has no experience trapping spiders. They are always faster than you. You don't go straight down, you start from the front and close to the back, so when they try to dart away they end up running into the cup/bowl/whatever.

Fail.

lol, poor spider probably got its leg broken from that. I've seen some small spiders in my house with long ass legs, but I let them be. They kill the other, more disgusting pests.

I'd freak out if I saw that though. I'd probably move out.
