We all know that it's just the result of a "use it or lose it" clause in Sony's old contract with Marvel and they don't want the Spiderman properties reverting back to Marvel/Disney.

Making a movie because you have to and not because you have a story to tell is the worst way to be "creative." It's the only reason Spiderman got rebooted again so soon and we have a lizard man trying to turn everyone into lizards.

the Venom movie could be great. i suspect though it will be a idiotic PG or pg13 movie and just destroy the story.

If Venom is super dark and rated r, it could work. Sinister 6 could work if they used Venom and the lizard guy from the first movie, plus the 3 villains from the next spiderman movie. That would leave just one villain to introduce.
