Spider bite is like... 1/2 dollar in size and hurts in the middle

Do you have pics?

I had a spider bite. I removed it myself. It's gruesome, but I can tell you how I did it if you want.

I'd be thinking you'd put something on it.. spider bites may look small but they could be harmful..

Chaotic42, how'd you do it?

Also, it could be some other type of bite, I'm assuming it's a spider bite, even though I never see spiders around here. It's pretty big too. And it's warm.

Ok, you asked.... 😉

Mine swole up and became black. It had a white dot in the middle of it. You'll need a needle and something with a hook on it. A fishing hook would work in a pinch. Get some napkins and rubbing alcohol.

I popped it, which released a foul dark yellow liquid. I'm guessing that was the poison, or the part of my tissue that was destoyed by the poison. Anyway, wipe that all out and get the hook. You'll need to dig around in there and scoop all of that crap out. In the middle there was a white pus something. I fished it out. This left a hole in me, which I poured the alcohol into. Wipe up the excess blood and pus, and you're good to go.

I told you that you didn't want to know. 😛

Where do you live?

Can you see two distinct puncture wounds within the bite?

:Q

I would have just gone to the ER. 😛

It sounds like you got bit by a brown recluse, or perhaps a hobo spider. No?

Looks like just a normal spider bite:

3. Non-dangerous Spider Bites
· More than 50 spiders in the U.S. have venom and can cause local, nonserious reactions.
· The bites are painful and mildly swollen for 1 or 2 days (much like a bee sting).
· Most single, unexplained, tender bites that occur during the night are due to spiders.

There is a point to this Ky
Perhaps you want to have this attended to. If the doc says they cant do anything, no harm done.

Did you know you swallow tens of thousands of spiders in your lifetime?... Sure... While you're sleeping the spiders come down at night looking for water. They find it in your mouth and your natural reflex is to swallow. 😛

If you go to the damn doctor he can give you medicine that would minimize the tissue damage. By sitting on here discussing it, you are just letting more damage be done to your leg. It hurts and is warm because it is infected. If you use a needle to pop it you could just cause another abcess later which will suck just as much.

WTF?!

I hope you two are happy. I am neurotic enough without having to read things like this.
I may never sleep again. I think I feel things crawling on my feet.

🙁

Ahhh the beginning sentence to all great medical advice.

Keep a close eye on it. Most likely its nothing but if it turns purple it could be a brown recluse spider. If thats the case get to the hospital right away.

sounds like a hobo spider bite to me. i'd see the doctor(or dermatologist if you have one). there can be some pretty nasty scarring in some cases with those bites.

does the look of the bite resemble a bullseye?
