Spicer: Trump didn't mean wiretapping when he tweeted about wiretapping

"The President used the word wiretaps in quotes to mean, broadly, surveillance and other activities."

http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/13/politics/sean-spicer-donald-trump-wiretapping/

that's a direct quote from Mr. Spicer. Remember when we were told to not lsiten to the words Trump was saying, but the meaning behind him (I forget the exact rididculous quote) Now Spicer is telling us Trump didn't mean what he tweeted... again.

Never mind these facts:

Spicer's comments came on the same say as the deadline for the Justice Department to provide evidence to the House Intelligence Committee to back up Trump's claim. The White House has so far refused to provide any evidence, and numerous former officials have denied the existence of any warrant to wiretap Trump Tower.

A week earlier, Spicer said Trump's tweet "speaks for itself" and declined to provide any further explanation.

Trump saying one thing and meaning something totally different should probably just be assumed at this point. Nothing that comes out of his mouth can be trusted.

Words have no meaning and America's children are going to be dumber than they already are thanks to this presidency. Hell, maybe even adults will be more idiotic now that 'alternative facts' is now an acceptable idea. The GOP is a mess.

At what point do we get to call a lie for exactly what it is? This was a lie. The sad part is that the next time that Trump and his Brietbart cronies want to distract from something or throw their rivals off guard, all they have to do is shout yet another unsubstantiated claim just like this one, wait for days/weeks while the media engage in a bunch of sound and fury, signifying nothing - which is exactly its purpose. It doesn't matter if he walks his claims back or, heaven forbid, apologize, the damage to our democracy's public discourse has already been done.

I wonder how important word accuracy would become to the Trump folk if Democrats started calling for his assassination and by that they say they mean to impeach.

So if we just make the effort to redefine the English language, then Trump wasn't lying. Ah, thanks for clearing that up, spokesguy!

Just like he didn't really mean he "grabs them by the pussy".

Just like he didn't really mean he "moved on her like a bitch".

Just like he didn't really mean "it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”

Just like he didn't really mean “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her."

Just like he didn't really mean Pregnancy "[is] certainly an inconvenience for a business."

Just like he didn't mean it's a Muslim ban

Just like he didn't mean Insurance would be better and cheaper

Just like he didn't mean Obama golfed too much

Just like he didn't mean Obama took too much vacation

Just like he didn't mean he would cut medicaid or Medicare

Just like he would drain the swamp

Just like he cared about Obama's birth certificate, now doesn't give two shits

Just like he would protect LGBT rights

Just like he respects women

Eff it, got shit to do

I'm glad you got as far as you did. That quickly got to be fun to where I even reached 'God, this is good'

Except he meant exactly what he said. The meaning is being altered ex post facto because Trump cannot prove what he alleged.

Do you think he's doing this to distract from his deeper controversies?

POTUS just winging it. Saying whatever shit comes to mind to distract the rubes and having his minions pile up the turds when called out so they look more presentable.

Do you think he's doing this to distract from his deeper controversies?

It is possible for that to be at least partially true in the sense of multiple causation and effect.

Smerconish has said several times that -- as much as Trump's behaviors are so bizarre and even self-destructive -- we should look for a deeper agenda.

That might even be partially useful in the sense I already mentioned.

But if you look at his sycophants and state-side puppet-masters, they all behave in a defensive and reactive mode. They all lie like crazy to suit new circumstances.

This latest farce -- with DOJ commanded to request a delay in providing "evidence" of Obama's wrong-doing to Congress -- would just demonstrate a lack of foresight and planning. As I said -- Trump is more gambler than businessman, and maybe even incapable of grasping the notion of card-counting in blackjack. He has no interest in statistics.

Warren Buffet has a bigger interest in statistics, and MBAs all spend some time learning the tools.

Trump never learned anything but to bluff. Now he's seeing how hard it is to follow through with your bluffs, because he didn't have foresight.

Yet, this is such a crowd of unblemished, unbridled evil in their disdain for the Truth of any kind, I'd examine all of it as carefully as possible -- time permitting.

I don't know what scares me more: Trump? Or what I might do to my dentist next week if he even mentions the name while I'm in the chair.

I'm too old for San Quentin. And I still enjoy my food with real teeth . . .
