Spending the fall in the UK, need ideas.

Balt

Just found out this past week that I've been accepted into a program at my school that will allow me to spend the Fall term in the UK (quite possibly interning in the American embassy 😀).

As such, I need lots of ideas about what to do while I'm there. I've been there twice, but never for longer than a few days. I do plan to pick up a few books on the subject, but I would like some other opinions as well. I'm not sure, but it's likely I won't get off for anything but weekends so no long trips please. 😉

Thanks in advance..

Any suggestions from someone who doesn't smoke pot twice a day?

Just kidding. 😉

Where abouts in the UK? (i've no idea where the embassy is 😉)

Though the most obvious is minendo's pub crawl. 😀

Sorry, I should have specified. I'll be in London.

And the funny thing about hitting pubs is that while I'm in the UK I will turn 21, which will be completely meaningless there but a cause to celebrate here. 😉

Big Ben and Stonehenge sound good, any pubs in particular that anyone can recommend?

Edit: Also, what kind of beer can I expect to find? I don't care much for dark thick beer, and please don't say "guinness" 😉

One with long opening hours. 😛

Other things you could do would be visit a footie match (As long as it's not a Spurs game 😉), there's also the History and Science museums, both of which are pretty interesting and good fun (Really!). 🙂
