This is similar to a previous promotion where they were giving $20 on a $50 purchase. Now it is $30 on a $50 purchase.

When you go to amazon.com home page, wait for a few seconds, then this promotion will show up a drop down ad.

2. Click the "Add to Shopping Cart" button on the product detail page of any Kitchen & Housewares Store item sold by amazon.com. The total amount before taxes, shipping, and other promotions must be at least $50.

3. Click the "Proceed to Checkout" button and place your order via our order form.

4. If you do not return the product, we will e-mail you (to the e-mail address you have specified in your account) a promotional code within four to six weeks of the purchase. This code will be redeemable for $30 off your next purchase of products sold by amazon.com in any of our stores.

One of my friends could not see it initially. But, once he used a different browser and cleared the cookies, he could see it by using the following link:

Also, it seems you don't need to see this promotion to get it. It seems to be automatic.

radioactiveman, I don't know why you are not able to see this promotion. Did you wait for a few seconds after going to amazon.com home page? The drop down promotion comes down from the tab list at the top. If you don't click on it rightaway, a few seconds later, it moves to the right side of the screen. So, check on the right side of the screen for a link (it was in in dark red color for me) that says "Learn how you can get $30".

Just like you, another colleague of mine also could not see the promotion (even after using a different browser and deleting the cookies). Anybody has any explanation for this? I have also posted this on the hot deal forum of another website. There also, some people could see the promotion; some could not.

I haven't gotten mine yet, but it hasn't been 4 weeks yet so I don't expect anything to show up for awhile.

No. I did print out the page about the offer so that, if it doesn't come, I can show I ordered from the right place during the right time frame.

It also says "spend $50, get $30.

So, if both items came from the Kitchen and Housewares store, I would hope that you qualify. If you don't get it, 800-201-7575 is Amazon's customer service number. Good luck!

Shoot -I can't even pry the item I ordered out of their hands. They have misfiled, misplaced, misordered and misreported my order several times now but I am still hopeful that it will come!
