Hey, don't we all. Unless you are playing all those games at the same time and finish them all at the same time does it make sense to buy all those games at the same time at regular price? I realize you are kind of on the extreme end here, as with a few others, so I mean whatever trips your trigger, no judgement here. I was just pointing out there is no rush to buy 4 games at once because there is no such thing as shortage of availability.

Since the subject around the holidays is really what was asked, chances are you could get many more than 4 games given a good sale, in which case, sure I get it, but if we're talking retail, eh...I just have too many hobbies. Maybe it's because I grew up renting more games than I ever bought, I don't know but there are few games I've ever played that I felt were worth their MSRP.
Some of the games i am planning on getting have online play that if I wait on, will thin out too much. So if I even consider going online in the game I can't wait too long.

Also a couple of the titles I am watching can go either way. It can be really good or really bad.

What does the timing of finishing a game matter for this? Yeah, it makes no sense to pay full price to say you owned a game on release day, but at the same time, these games aren't quite launching on top of each other. Forza Horizon 2 and NBA 2K15 are only a week apart, but they're also in different categories for me (I want the former for online, latter for offline, mostly). Halo is then 5 weeks or so out, and again fills another hole for me, and then I could get Sunset Overdrive for Christmas another 6 weeks later.

They'll not necessarily get played at the same time, but they'll all get played.

Anyone betting on older games like AC4 Black Flag to drop in price this holiday? I held out on it and I'm wondering if it will -- and by how much -- drop in price?

Looking to play it so other games can get on sale too :p

I'm waiting on an Assassin's Creed anthology still on One. Unity looks good, but I never played past the second, so I'd have no idea where the story was. The older games I'm looking at are probably going to be more-likely to get picked up over the summer, when the releases are few and far between.

On that front, I'd like to re-purchase Forza 5, I'd MAYBE get NFS: Rivals, then I will consider Ryse, Tomb Raider, and Wolfenstein. Otherwise, I'll get The Golf Club when it launches, then sit on my hands until Forza Horizon 2 on 9/30 or NBA 2K15 on 10/7.

I'm still rocking the PS3 and don't have plans to upgrade anytime soon so these are all PS3 games:

Madden 15
NHL 15
NBA 2K15
Dragon Age: Inquisition

I don't pay anything for the games I play as you can use your in game currency to purchase membership and then have time to make it back with some extra.

I'm not a fan of console gaming, but if I was i'd buy Ratchet and Clank for PS4 if they ever come out with one.

I really hope the last-gen consoles don't get a major downgrade in terms of graphics because of the devs mostly focusing on next-gen.

I remember playing 2k14 this year on PS4 then played it on the 360 and it looked so weird to me. That was when they were focusing on both gens, now the focus is primarily on PS4/XBone/PC.

I've never heard of any previous Gen games getting downgraded graphics at all for any generation since they already have the tools and don't do any significant changes to it. It looks weird because you saw how good the current gen graphics are. It's like you seeing slightly blurry and finally getting glasses, then those times when you take your glasses off, there's a huge difference that you didn't notice before.

Not sure I'd wait to the holiday season to get games. I buy them as they come out :)

I'm pretty excited about Smash Bros this holiday season. I'll probably get the Wii U game bundle with the GC Controller and Adapter, an additional GC Controller (since I could only find 2 old ones), and the 3DS version of the game. Then, maybe I'll get a couple of Amiibo figures. Well, by a few, I mean all of the Fire Emblem and Zelda ones...

So, I guess if I was limited to just 240 bucks this holiday, it'd all go to Smash Bros stuff.

Please do, you Drivatar needs some love. He was a wrecking fool today when I was playing :)

Yeah, that's the problem with Drivatars. The entirety of the people I get put up against are hyper-aggressive, which made me drive like more of an idiot than I usually would (having to use opposing cars as guardrails on turns because they always try to block and/or spin you). I love the concept of Drivatars, but because you don't have a way to filter out randoms, and the majority of drivers are bad, you're put into a lot of crappy situations if you don't have a bunch of friends to play against.

I'm getting taunted with another sale now, and Micro Center is selling the game for $20 in-store, but the closest store to me is 90+ minutes away.

By the way, which friend on LIVE are you? I'm bad at remembering these things, especially since I haven't had anything to play on the Bone recently (except the horrendous Destiny beta).
